Seven steps.
Five are preparation.

Wash, scrape, sand, fill, caulk, prime — the unglamorous half, and the first thing a low bid removes.

  1. 01

    Walk the job

    Every side of the house looked at, failing areas found, an itemized estimate written from what we saw.

  2. 02

    Wash

    Salt, dirt, chalking and mildew off first.

  3. 03

    Scrape and sand

    Failing coating back to a sound edge, then feathered.

  4. 04

    Fill and caulk

    Caulk where water would get behind, nowhere it would trap water in.

  5. 05

    Prime

    Stain-blocking primer on cedar and redwood so tannin does not bleed through.

  6. 06

    Paint

    Two finish coats. Cut by hand, rolled or sprayed and back-rolled to suit.

  7. 07

    Walk it again

    With you, before the truck is loaded.
